The staff arrived to school on Thursday with the Seniors taking up 'staff' parking spaces, which was cute. The Seniors came out of graduation practice learning the staff had a sense of humor and blocked them into those parking spaces.

On Friday, April 29th the Bassett Tree Board came to BGS. The kids planted a seed in a cup and watered it for the chance to watch it sprout and hopefully grow into a tree.

6th Grade Orientation at the high school will be as originally scheduled, tomorrow May 4th beginning at 8:00 and they will eat lunch at 11:30.
The Elementary Track Meet has been MOVED to Monday, May 9th at 12:30. The 2nd, 4th and 6th grade students will now go bowling TOMORROW, May 4th, leaving at 12:15 and returning by 3:30.
On Thursday, May 5th, the Kindergarten and 5th grades will be going to the Atkinson Bowling Alley as they finish up the Bowling Unit in PE.
The 1st & 3rd graders will go on Tuesday, May 10th. They will leave right after lunch, about 11:30, and return by 2:00.
Please make sure your child wears socks to school the day they are scheduled to go bowling!!! Your child may bring a few dollars to spend at the concession stand if they’d like.
Elementary awards will be Monday, May 9th at 8:30 at the Bassett Grade School.
The Elementary Track & Field Day is Wednesday, May 4th and will begin at 12:30 at the high school track. Your child(ren) will go around to their events with their teachers and you are welcome to follow them around and watch and cheer! IF we need to postpone the track meet, it would be POSSIBLY moved to Monday, May 9th and that would mean the 2nd, 4th, & 6th graders would go bowling this Wednesday, May 4th! We will make the final decision by the end of the day on Tuesday.

Bassett Grade School will be offering BEEP (Bassett Educational Enrichment Program) during two sessions over the summer:
Tuesday, May 31st- Friday, June 3
Monday, July 11th-Thursday, July 14th
from 9:00-11:00 each day
Sessions will be offered for the following age groups:
* PreK (2021-2022 school year morning class-the 2021-2022 afternoon class will register as kindergartners)
* K - 1st Grade
* 2nd - 3rd Grade
* 4th - 6th Grade
Please register your child based on the grade level they will be entering in the fall. Students need not attend every day but are encouraged to let teachers know if they will be gone. If you are interested in enrolling your child(ren) in the BEEP program, please fill out the google form (https://forms.gle/KG1VVwy4xmAmGbME7) by Thursday, May 12th. NVC JH & HS Track that was moved to Monday has now been MOVED TO TUESDAY @ West Holt
Sweet Bean will be selling coffee to the community tomorrow morning, April 29th, from 7:30am - 8:30am at the Rock County High School. Come through the front doors and you will see their set up!
