Attention volleyball fans, there were key fobs found in Plainview after our volleyball game on Monday night. If you are missing your key fobs for your vehicle, please contact Mark Otten at the school and he will get you in touch with the Plainview administration to get them back.

Rock County was represented well this year at National FFA Convention! Congratulations to the following for all their hard work and dedication. Making it to Nationals is very hard, let alone placing in the top 10. The last time Rock County had a team get even a silver, let alone gold, was in 2014. Make sure to congratulate them! Ag Communications- 8th place gold team. The team is made up of Carter, Macy, Trey, and Reece Agriscience Fair Environmental and Natural Resources- 5th place. The team is made up of Carter and Reece Mia was a part of the National Choir and ROCKED it Allie and Gracie received their American FFA Degrees

Dual Credit Students—The last day to withdraw from fall semester classes is Nov. 8th. As per school policy, you are not allowed to take a dual credit class the following semester if you withdraw or fail it. Registration begins on November 4th for dual credit classes during the spring semester. See Mr. Dohrman for planning and assistance.

State Cross Country Send Off from RCHS at 3:15PM today. Thanks to the RC Booster Club for providing extra meal money for our athletes.

Rock County Public Schools is seeking application for an assistant cook beginning immediately. Starting wages will be $16/hr minimum with more for experience. Full single insurance, retirement benefits, various leaves, and flexibility to go to kids events are included. BGS will hold its 1st Quarter Assembly for Perfect Attendance, Honor Roll and Principal's List, Thursday, October 24th at 8:30AM. It will be live-streamed on the RCPS Facebook page.

STATE QUALIFIERS! Congrats to the North Central state cross country qualifiers: coach Jane Klemesrud, Nate Frick, Angela Frick, Zoey Snyder!

The FFA Haunted House is this Sunday October 20th at Grandads Pumpkin Patch from 7-9pm. A reminder to FFA members set up will start at 9am and go all day. Any members working inside the haunted house need to be there by 6pm to get ready.

Attention Junior class students and parents: Donuts will be ready to be picked up between 5 and 6 pm on Friday, October 18th. If Donuts are not picked up at the scheduled time, you can pick them up on Monday.

Junior high and high school parents, please stop at the office for your student's report card before you attend parent-teacher conferences.

Seniors—Before you complete the FAFSA (which opens Dec. 1st), you and the parent(s) who provided the most financial support will need to create FSA IDs. The Social Security Administration must verify them, which can take up to 3 days. Go to studentaid.gov and click on Create Account to get started.

Seniors, a link to our scholarship page, rockcountyschools.org, has been added. The Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation Scholarship is due November 1st.

District D-3 Cross Country Meet *Date: Thursday, October 17th, 2024 *Location: Ainsworth Municipal Golf Course *Schools Assigned: Ainsworth, Boyd County, Burwell, Creighton, Central Valley, CWC, EPPJ, Elkhorn Valley, Neligh-Oakdale, Niobrara/Verdigre, North Central, Plainview, Riverside, Sandhills/Thedford, Santee, NG/SE, Stuart, Summerland, Twin Loup, West Holt *Times: 3:00 – High School Boys– 5,000 meters ; 3:45 – High School Girls – 5,000 meters *To qualify for the State Competition: *Individuals must place in the Top 15. *Teams must finish in the Top 3 *Restrooms: Porta-potties (gender-neutral) are located next to the cart barns. We also have primitive outhouse-style restrooms located near hole number 3’s tee box. . *Admission: Will be charged as you enter to park. No Passes will be allowed. Adults: $4 Students: $3 *Greens & Tee Boxes: Please stay off all greens and tee boxes. *Concessions:The clubhouse will have basic concession items available. Overall, it will be limited as the Clubhouse is at the end of the season. *Spectator Parking: Parents and spectators will be directed to park along the driveway that leads to the clubhouse.
