RCHS Foundation Scholarship Reminder
Rock County High School graduates are reminded to request your scholarship funds for the 2023-2024 school year. 2023 graduates need to submit enrollment verification of at least 12 hours. Graduates of 2020, 2021 and 2022 are required to submit enrollment verification along with a transcript showing cumulative GPA of at least 2.5%. Information can be emailed to Jan Foster at [email protected], mailed to Jan at PO Box 581 Bassett, NE 68714 or given to Brandi Hollenbeck at Rock County High School.
PLEASE JOIN US MONDAY NIGHT @ Rock County High School
Through the support of the Rock County Community Fund, Rock County Public Schools will be bringing the Value Up Program by Speaker and Author Mike Donahue to Rock County High School on Monday, August 14th. There will be mini-sessions throughout the day, with the high school student dismissal at 2:00 p.m. Mike will be doing a teacher in-service from 2:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. He then will host a community program from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. with a regular scheduled school board meeting to follow.
8-12th grade students: your schedules are complete, if you want your schedule with locker assignment before Monday you can come in between 8-3 pm to pick it up. 7th graders will receive their schedules during their meeting on Thursday evening.
Reminder the RCPS will hold an Open House Thursday, August 10 from 5:00-6:00. This is a great time to stop in and get the office any paperwork that is still missing, meet your childs teachers and drop off any school supplies.
There will be a Jr. High Cross County Parents' meeting for KP parents on 8/15 at 7:00 pm at KP high school and on 8/17 at 7:00 pm at RCHS library.

The HS Volleyball Parent's Meetings will be held on Friday, August 11th @ 6:00pm at the Rock County High School and on Monday, August 14th @ 6:00pm at the Keya Paha County High School.
NC Athletic Pass Information
Bassett Grade School and Rock County High School will be holding open houses for RCPS families on Thursday, August 10 from 5:00-6:00 p.m. The offices will be open if paper work needs to be dropped off. There is also a 7th grade student and parent meeting in the RCHS library from 6:00-6:30 p.m.
Reminder: Mr. Dohrman is in his office today and tomorrow between 8 am - 3 pm if you want to change or help with your schedule.

Hello! My name is John Klosterman and I will be the new 7-12 PE Teacher at Rock County High School. I moved to Bassett in July of 2022 with my wife Alyx, together we have two wonderful children (Quinn is 5 and Aiden is 3). I'd feel bad if I left out our two dogs. Sammy is a 6-year-old Chocolate Lab and Gracie is a 1-year-old Golden Retriever. I enjoy golfing and watching or playing sports in my free time. A fun fact about me is that I am a huge Chicago Cubs baseball fan. On my bucket list, I have a goal to see my Cubs play in every Major League stadium.
We are missing a lot of physical forms from high school kids. If your student athlete is starting conditioning on Monday morning, we need those in before they can start conditioning.
