HS Basketball Update for Thursday, Jan. 18th w/ Ainsworth
**START TIME: 4:30 PM
**2 Quarters JV Girls, 2 Quarters JV Boys, Varsity Girls, Varsity Boys
The wrestling tournament that was scheduled for last Saturday, Jan. 13th at Sandhills-Thedford has now been moved to Tuesday, Jan. 30th starting at 10:30am in Dunning.
The lunch menu for today has changed. We will serve hot ham and cheese, French fries, coleslaw, strawberries, and milk.

**The games with Twin Loup have been canceled.
**The games for tomorrow night, Tuesday Jan. 16th with Niobrara-Verdigre @ RC have been postponed to Monday Feb. 5th starting at 4:00PM.
Due to poor road conditions, dangerously low wind chills, and lack of daylight, Rock County Public Schools will have a 10:00 late start Tuesday, January 16. Again, we will have a late start tomorrow. If your roads are not safe, please stay home and call to let us know.

Niobrara-Verdigre Freshmen/Sophomore/JV Basketball Triangular - Saturday, January 20, 2024
*The first games will begin at 9:00 a.m. Girls and boys will be in different gyms.
*The warmup period for the next game will begin immediately following the conclusion of the previous game.
*Game 1 – Niobrara-Verdigre vs. Summerland
*Game 2 – Summerland vs. North Central
*Game 3 – Niobrara-Verdigre vs. North Central
*Boys’ and girls’ games will be played simultaneously in the Main gym and “old” gym.
*All day admission is $5.00 for adults and $4.00 for K-12 students
*Each team will play 2 games;
6-minute quarters;
3 time outs per game;
5 minute halftime;
10 minute warm up for 1st game;
5 minute warm up for 2nd game;
1st overtime will be 2 minutes;
2nd overtime will be sudden death;

The high schoolers found out who was 'Marire Strong' today at lunch.
The BGS Perfect Attendance, Honor Roll, and Principal List Assembly for 2nd Quarter and 1st Semester will be held Friday, January 12th at 10:30am. It will be live-streamed on the Rock County Public Schools Facebook page.
