Because medical costs can be expensive, Rock County Public Schools does provide families the opportunity to purchase student accident insurance for their student through Student Assurance Services, Inc.
This supplemental policy would assist with your out-of-pocket medical expenses (i.e., deductible) should your student sustain an accidental injury while coverage is in effect. Also, if you do not have any insurance for your student, this would be primary for accidental injuries. There is a variety of coverage options, and premiums are a one-time payment for the school year.
Please review the short video link below, as well as the attached forms regarding student accident insurance.

If you have any questions about this coverage, please contact Student Assurance Services directly at (800) 328-2739.
Sincerely,
Rock County Public Schools

The administrations of Keya Paha County School and Rock County Public Schools have been actively engaged in the recruitment of coaches, most urgently in the case of the head football position since February and the head volleyball position since the end of May. At this juncture, the search and recruitment has been in vain. While in the past these extra duties would have been assigned, the education field is experiencing an unprecedented and critical shortage of teachers. Forcing this duty onto staff is counterproductive to fulfilling our most basic duty of educating our students. If suitable head coaches cannot be secured by August 1, the districts may be forced to cancel the 2025 high school football and volleyball seasons. If you or someone you know has the ability and the time to devote to guiding our young men and women on the athletic field, please reach out immediately. Interested applicants may call Keya Paha County Schools at 402-497-3501 or Rock County Public Schools at 402-684-3411. You may also contact Athletic Directors Kayla Fischer at kfischer@rockcountyschools.org or Mike Stephen at mstephen@kpschools.org.
