A message from Sarah Sybrant: SCHOOL PENNY WAR IN SUPPORT OF OUR TROOPS I would like to extend a huge thank you to all of the parents, teachers, and children that teamed up to collect $712.58 during the Penny War, in November, grades Pre-K through 9th grade. This year, the classes teamed up with Mary Kay to provide needed products such as sun block, lip balm, cleansers, moisturizers, etc. to our soldiers in need. With your help and support, we were able to send a very nice donation to Soldier’s Angels, $1,448 worth of products. They in turn, ship the product to the soldiers. If you look at Soldier’s Angels website, there is an Operation Mary Kay section that displays many thankful e-mails from soldiers everywhere and how they appreciate receiving the Mary Kay products. The classroom that collected the most money during the penny war will receive a pizza party from me! The winning class was the Pre-K class with $241! They will enjoy their free pizza soon. Congratulations! Pre-K: $241.77 Kindergarten: $156.62 1st Grade: $33.79 2nd Grade: $110.70 3rd Grade: $19.54 4th Grade: $70.20 5th Grade: $8.63 6th Grade: $29.02 9th Grade: $42.31 All money collected, as well as 100% of my commission, was donated to supply Mary Kay products to Soldier’s Angels. What a great and rewarding event to be a part of. We look forward to doing this again next year and will be setting a goal of collecting $1,000 between both schools in Bassett! So, if you were unable to participate this year, you’ll have another chance! Thank you all so much from a grateful heart! Sarah Sybrant Mary Kay Beauty Consultant
