Fall sports are starting to heat up, literally, and that means opening day for the 2022-2023 school year is right around the corner.  This school year brings some new faces to the Rock County Public School family and we are also moving some of the familiar faces to new positions.  I am personally excited about who we were able to hire for next year and I look forward to seeing our staff grow and come together for the students we serve.

Mrs. Nicole Ebert is stepping into an administrative role as our Prek-6 principal.  She will also be seen roaming the halls of the junior high/high school building at times.  Mrs. Ebert will bring a fresh perspective to the administrative side of things while also being very familiar with what our teachers are doing on a daily basis.  She has some great ideas to implement over the next few years and I cannot wait to see where she can lead us moving forward.

With the move of Mrs. Ebert, we had some other in-house shifting of personnel.  Mrs. Debbie Seberger will be taking over the role of Title I teacher.  Mrs. Seberger is extremely excited to take on this new challenge and provide the resources our students need as they are developing their reading and math skills.  I know her enthusiasm and energy will be put to good work in her new position.

That brings us to Mrs. Cindy Friese who will be moving into the first-grade room.  Mrs. Friese came to us with a lot of experience in the primary grades and she is thrilled to be moving back to that area where she is most comfortable.  While I appreciate the work she did for the fifth and sixth graders last year, I am also excited to see what she brings to the table as a first grade teacher.

The final piece of the puzzle when it comes to in-house shifting was Mrs. Stacy Otten.  Mrs. Otten brings 6-12 library experience and many years of teaching technology to our library/technology position.  She is excited to enhance what we have been doing in the technology realm at the grade school while also bringing a new perspective to the junior high and high school.
