We all know about On-the-Go Gelato, but now two other groups of Rock County High School students are venturing out to start their own school-bases businesses.

You may have seen the Midwest Jerky stickers around or maybe you have been fortunate enough to be able to sample a bit of their jerky already.  There is a group of high school boys working through the Agricultural Education program to bring Midwest Jerky to life in the Rock County High School.

Mrs. Anderson has a group of students within the business program who will be starting up an in-house coffee shop called Sweet Bean.  Now some of you may know the stance of the school when it comes to students bringing food and drinks, such as coffee, into the building in the morning.  This is against school policy and when you walk down the halls and look at our carpets, you will see why.  This school-based business will be serving at a set time on set days with very high standards to keep when it comes to cleanliness.

It is exciting to see the school-based businesses taking a step forward.  The On-the-Go Gelato team set the table for future businesses and it was time to see more of them come to life.  Be on the lookout for Gelato, Jerky, and Coffee in the near future.
