Wilkins Architecture will be in Rock County to present their findings from our facilities audit on Wednesday,
January 18 at 6:00 PM in the high school library. They will be sharing information on their findings from their
inspections of our facilities as well as their recommendations for immediate projects and projects that need
addressed but may be able to be put off for a bit longer. In the meantime, Rock County Public Schools board of
education has been progressive in knowing there are issues we need to address sooner than later, such as flooring
in classrooms and hallways. As a district, we will continue to move forward while investigating economical ways to
improve our facilities.
I know the questions about making snow days will be coming. At this point, we have had six snow days and we are
not in the position of having to make any of them up. However, we are getting closer to that point with every
snow day we have moving forward. There may be some options of taking away planned days off or we may have
to simply add days to the end of the calendar in May, if we get to the point of having to make up days. The
moisture has been welcomed but now it is time to either quit snowing, or at least have the snow fall Friday night
through Sunday, preferably with no wind.
